Apptains ("we", "us", or "our") is a product of RupeeStack Platform Private Limited, a company incorporated in India. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information when you use Apptains: the website at apptains.com, the Apptains app on the web at early.apptains.com, the Apptains apps for Android and iOS, and any related services.
By accessing or using our services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
When you create an account, describe a project, place an order, or contact us, we collect your name and email address; your business's name and, if you give them, its phone number and the billing details we put on invoices (address, and a GSTIN or VAT number); what you write to our AI and to your Apptain, with the files and code you send; and the keys your app needs, which we store encrypted. When you register a domain through us, we collect the registrant's name, address, phone number and email, which the domain registry requires.
We never see or store your card or bank details. You enter them on the payment provider's own page.
When you use Apptains, our servers record technical details of each request, such as the address asked for, the browser or app making it, and when, and use the network address it came from to protect the service from abuse. These logs are kept for about a month. We also keep a list of the devices you are signed in on, by browser or device name, so you can see and end those sessions. If you allow notifications in a phone app, we store that device's notification token so we can send them.
If you connect a GitHub account, we receive your GitHub username and account number, and the list of repositories you give our GitHub app access to. Our payment providers (Razorpay and PhonePe) tell us whether a payment succeeded, its reference, and, for a payment in US dollars, whether the card was issued outside India.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We do not use cookies or tracking scripts for advertising or analytics. The Apptains apps keep you signed in by storing a sign-in token on your device (in your browser's storage on the web), and remember settings such as light or dark mode. Clearing them signs you out.

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When we no longer need your data, we will securely delete or anonymize it.
When you delete your account, we erase your data 30 days later. We keep the records of your payments for 8 years, as Indian tax and accounting law requires. See Delete your account for what is erased and when.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
