Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 21 August 2026

Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") governs every application that RupeeStack Platform Private Limited builds, deploys, or operates for a customer under the Apptains brand, and everyone who uses the Apptains platform. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

By using Apptains, you agree that neither you, nor anyone acting through your account, nor any application we operate on your behalf, will be used for the purposes set out below.

Prohibited uses

The following are not permitted on Apptains or on any infrastructure we operate. The list is illustrative, not exhaustive.

  • Unlawful activity

Anything that breaks the law in India or in any jurisdiction the application serves.

  • Fraud, phishing and impersonation

Phishing pages, fake login or payment screens, deceptive storefronts, or any site impersonating a person, brand, bank, or public body.

  • Malware and attack infrastructure

Viruses, ransomware, exploit kits, botnet command-and-control, credential-harvesting tooling, or any software designed to damage or gain unauthorised access to a system.

  • Child sexual abuse material

Absolutely prohibited with zero tolerance. We remove it immediately, preserve evidence, terminate the account, and report it to the relevant authorities.

  • Adult and sexually explicit content

Pornographic, sexually explicit, or escort-style content and services, whether real or generated.

  • Spam and unsolicited outreach

Bulk unsolicited email or SMS, mailing-list harvesting, spam relays, or infrastructure supporting any of them.

  • Piracy and infringement

Distributing media, software, or datasets you do not own or hold a licence to distribute, and any tooling built to circumvent licensing or digital rights management.

  • Cryptocurrency mining and blockchain nodes

Mining, staking, validator nodes, and comparable workloads whose purpose is to consume compute for financial yield.

  • Anonymisation and relay services

VPN endpoints, open proxies, Tor exit nodes, traffic relays, and tools sold to bypass geographic restrictions, rate limits, CAPTCHA, or platform terms.

  • Reselling capacity

Selling, subletting, or otherwise providing compute, storage, bandwidth, or hosting from our infrastructure to any third party.

  • Network abuse

Denial-of-service traffic, port scanning, credential stuffing, brute-force attempts, and penetration testing against systems you do not own or have written authorisation to test.

  • Surveillance and unlawful data collection

Stalkerware, non-consensual location or activity tracking, and scraping of personal data without a clear legal basis.

  • Regulated activity without a licence

Gambling, lending, deposit-taking, securities dealing, medical diagnosis or treatment, and any other activity requiring a licence you do not hold.

  • Regulated data without agreement

Storing or processing cardholder data, health records, or comparable regulated categories on our infrastructure without a prior written agreement covering it.

Reporting abuse

If you believe an application we operate breaches this Policy, report it to abuse@apptains.com. Please include the URL or address concerned, a description of the problem, and any evidence such as message headers or logs.

We aim to acknowledge every report within one business day. Where a report concerns child sexual abuse material, an active phishing campaign, or live attack traffic, we act immediately rather than waiting for that acknowledgement.

Enforcement

Because we operate the infrastructure ourselves, we can act on a breach directly. Depending on severity we may remove the offending content, suspend the application, suspend the account, or terminate the agreement.

We will normally contact you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. Where a breach is unlawful, is causing active harm, or puts our other customers at risk, we suspend first and explain afterwards. Suspension for a breach of this Policy does not entitle you to a refund of the current billing period.

Changes

We may update this Policy as the platform changes or as the law requires. Material changes will be notified to account holders by email, and the date at the top of this page will always show the current version.

Questions about this Policy can go to hello@apptains.com or via our contact page.
